The Slaughter Pre-K classes scheduled a field trip to visit the Jackson Museum and the Jackson Library on April 9th. Approximately 80 people were in attendence. Small groups rotated between the two sites. While the children were in the library, they sang songs with the children and read stories to them. One of the most liked books was the book called "The Three Little Tamale's by Eric A. Kimmel." This book is similar to the old favorite, "The Three Little Pigs." It introduces some Spanish words, Spanish culture and has wonderful illustrations by Valeria Docampo. They also enjoyed, "It's not Easy Being a Bunny" by Marilyn Sadler and illustrated by Roger Bollen. This book is about a young bunny who gets bored being at home and decides to live with other animals. After he stays with other animals, he realizes that there is "no place like home."
