Quiet Study Room Policy
The Quiet Study Rooms are provided for quiet study; or literacy or group study that necessitates conversation.
A maximum of four (4) people are allowed in the Quiet Study Rooms.
Upon presentation of a valid library card, a member of the Clark Library may use the Quiet Study Room. Members, who have library accounts blocked due to unpaid charges or unreturned library material, will not be allowed to use a Quiet Study Room.
The Library Member, who presents their library card for the Quiet Room use, is responsible for any damage to the room while in their use.
The Library Member’s card will be held by the library, and will be returned upon completion of the room use and after the room has been inspected by the Library Staff.
Quiet Study Rooms are available on a first come basis. Rooms may be used for two hours. An additional hour of use may be granted if there are no other groups or individuals requesting the room. Persons using the room must request the extension of use, by reporting to the circulation desk at the end of their session.
Light refreshments, such as those sold in the library vending machines, are allowed in the quiet study rooms, however rooms must be left clean and all garbage disposed of in proper receptacles. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the library.
All Quiet Study Rooms must be vacated 15 minutes prior to library closing.
Anyone violating these policies will be asked to vacate the room and may be suspended from future use of the rooms.
