Who may borrow videotapes and
DVD’s ?

Members of the Clark Library and MURAL patrons
over the age of 16 may borrow DVD’s
and Videocassettes. Library members under the
age of 16 may borrow DVD’s and Videocassettes
with signed parental permission.
All library members borrowing videotapes and
DVD’s must have a valid card in good standing in
order to borrow library material.

Cost to borrow material


New Videotapes & DVD’s $1 (3 day loan)
New Videotapes & DVD’s in boxed sets $3 (7 day loan)
Older & Educational Videotapes and DVD’s free (7 day loan)

Returning Videocassettes & DVD’s


Videocassettes and DVD’s can be returned to the
circulation desk inside the library, or in the new return
slot by the front entrance of the library marked “Audiovisual”.
Returning Videocassettes and DVD’s in the return
slot marked for books can damage delicate AV material
such as DVD’s and Videocassettes. Therefore, if
you return this material in the return slot marked for
“books”, you will receive a $5 fine on your account,
or be charged for the replacement of the item if it is damaged.


The library charges $1 per day for all videocassettes
and DVD’s which are returned late, to a maximum
of $12.00 per item.


Overdue material may be returned in the audiovisual
return slot. Charges will be added to your library
account, and must be paid before additional material
can be borrowed.


Videocassettes and DVD’s which are not returned
after 8 weeks are considered lost. You will be billed
for the replacement cost of the item, plus a service
charge of $5 to cover the cost of replacing the item.
Additional charges may be added to your account if it
is referred to a collection agency for non-payment.


Reserving Videocassettes & DVD’s


Videocassettes and DVD’s can be reserved either
in person at the library, or through our
website from any computer.
To reserve a video or cassette through our website
You can search for movie titles in our library catalog,
or from the movie button on our web page.
When you find a movie in our catalog that you wish to
reserve, click on the “hold request” button at the top of  the page and enter
your library card information.
The library cannot reserve videocassettes or
DVD’s for specific dates. Reserved items will
be held at the library for customer pickup for 3
business days.
Videocassettes and DVD’s that are on order for
the library are listed in the catalog and can be
placed on reserve. .
We will phone or email you when the item is available.
