Ware Shoals Adult Summer Programs
Ware Shoals Summer Book Discussions:   
We will be reading the book The Cherokee Nation and the Trail of Tears by Theda Perdue and Michael D. Green and Myths of the Cherokee by James MooneyCopies of books are available for borrowing from the Ware Shoals Community Library. Just ask for them at the Circulation Desk. Refreshments will be served at each book club meeting. All books and materials are free.

Talking Leaves Book Club 
The Talking Leaves Book Club meets at the Ware Shoals Community Library in the conference room at 1 PM on the following Thursdays:
• June 14:    Discussion on The Cherokee Nation and the Trail of Tears & Myths of the Cherokee: Introduction
• June 28:  Discussion on Myths of the Cherokee: Cosmogonic Myths & Quadruped Myths
• July 5:  Discussion on Myths of the Cherokee: Bird Myths & Snake, Fish, And Insect Myths
• July 12:  Discussion on Myths Of The Cherokee: Wonder Stories & Historical Traditions
• July 26:     Discussion on Myths of the Cherokee: Miscellaneous Myths & Legends
Knitters & Crafters
Tuesdays, 6:00 - 7:00PM
Come join us each Tuesday as we get together for crafting. If you enjoy knitting, whether you are a beginner or expert, crochet, cross stitch, or quilting come join others who also enjoy the craft.  We will also be discussing "The Cherokee Nation and the Trail of Tears” by Theda Perdue and Michael D. Green and “Myths of the Cherokee” by James Mooney at our weekly meetings throughout the summer beginning Tuesday, June 12.
Colour My World
Wednesday at 1:00PM, June 6, June 20, July 11 & July 18
Do you get stressed during the summer?  Come and relax at the Color My World program.  Coloring sheets, colored pencils and crayons provided.  Refreshments will be served.
Basic Crafting 101
Thursday at 1:00PM, June 21 & July 19
You may learn a new craft or bring one that you are working on. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a new skill to create something special.

Teen Programs

Call 465-2813 for more information. Rising 6th -12 Grade.
Teen Summer Reading
Teens can sign-up for the Teen Summer reading Program by picking up their reading log and bookmark.  Once they complete the reading log by reading 5 books on their reading level, they can return it to the library where they will receive their t-shirt. Their name is then entered into a drawing to win a cinch sack full of goodies at the end of the program.

Summer Storytime Adventures
Tuesday at 11AM, June 19 & July 17
Join us for stories as well as shaking and grooving with music time.  

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ware Shoals Library is participating in a national program created to involve the entire family in building early literacy skills in young children. We invite you to participate in this free program which encourages you to read 1,000 books with your children before they start kindergarten.
