Ware Shoals Library was first established in 1913.  The branch was housed in several locations including Katherine Hall, the First Methodist Church and the house that is now the Senior Center.  In 1999, the new library was built.  The Ware Shoals Community Library is very unique, not only are we a public library, but also a high school library with two circulation systems.

The Ware Shoals Community Library has computers, photocopier/printers and Wi-Fi. The Library offers programs for children, teens, and adults. Program descriptions can be found below. 

The Ware Shoals Library will be open from 9 AM - 5:30 PM (closed from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM for lunch) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays until January 31.

Spring Art Gala

Age Group: Children, Teens, and Adults

Registration: Begins Febrary 2024 - Exact Date to be TBA

When:Tuesday, April 2: 6:00-7:30 PM

Our annual Art Gala will showcase the work of local artists from the Ware Shoals and surrounding area, and will feature an extensive range of unique pieces. Throughout the exhibition and reception, guests will be able to speak with the artist about their work and experiences.

What Is January Jeopardy?

Age Group: Adults

When: Tuesday, January 23: 3:30 - 5 PM

About: Inspired by a classic and beloved American game show, players choose their category and point amount and must phrase their answer in the form of a question. If you make it to Final January Jeopardy, you have a chance of winning one of three Walmart gift cards!
