Services & Resources
The Jackson City Library offers the following services and resources to library patrons:
- Books, Periodicals, Videos, Books-on-Tape, Large Print Books, A-V equipment (slide projector, 16mm projector, screen,
filmstrip projector) for borrowing.
- Public FAX
- $3.00 per transaction plus 25 cents per page to send
- 25 cents per page to receive
- Public Photocopier (15 cents per page).
- Public access to the Internet
- This service is available through OPLIN (Ohio Public Library
Information Network).
- Must have a library card.
- Must have parent's signature if under 18 years old.
- Reference Collection - reference service in person or by phone
- Outreach
Regularly scheduled visits to deliver library materials to
nursing homes, senior citizens and the homebound.

- Interlibrary Loans
Our library will attempt to locate any book or periodical article that you request.
When the requested material is found, it will be sent to the Library for your use.
The ILL Clerk will contact you by phone or card to pick up the items.
ILL requests are made at the circulation desk or by phone. You must have a library
card to place a request.
- Meeting Room
The Potter Room is available at no charge for non-profit groups who want to hold
meetings or present programs of civic, educational, or cultural purposes.
Reservations can be made in person or by telephone during regular library
hours and anytime during the year. There is no charge for use of this room.
A VCR, DVD player, and television are available.
- Book Club
Jackson Library Book Club is a relaxed, friendly group and new members are
always welcome. Membership is free and the book to be discussed is provided
to each member. The club meets the 4th Tuesday every month.
Library cards are available to all area residents age five and over.
