All borrowers must have a valid library card in order to borrow all library materials. The card must be presented to check out materials and to use the public Internet computers.

Residents of Jackson Parish may obtain their first library card free of charge with proper identification and proof of Jackson Parish address.

Fee for replacement of lost or damaged cards is $1.00 for the first replacement card and $2.00 per card thereafter.

Card/keytag combinations are issued to adult patrons age 18 and older only. Fee for a replacement card/keytag is $2.00.

Borrowers are required to notify the library immediately of lost or stolen cards and of any change of address and/or telephone numbers.

Persons who are not Jackson Parish residents, but who are employed in the parish, may also obtain a card free of charge with proper identification and proof of parish employment.

Non-residents may obtain a card by posting a $25.00 deposit, refundable when the card is surrendered and voided, all materials have been returned and all outstanding fines/fees and other charges have been paid.

Residents of neighboring parishes who have a Trail Blazer or Green/Gold Library System card issued by their home parish library may obtain a Jackson Parish Library card free of charge by presenting the system card and providing proper identification.

Children five years of age or who are enrolled in kindergarten can apply for a card in their own name. A parent or guardian is required to sign the application for all juveniles younger than 16 years of age. Parents or guardians are responsible for all materials borrowed and fines incurred by their minor children.
