Internet Public Library:  The IPL began in a graduate seminar in the School of Information and Library Studies at the University of Michigan in the Winter 1995 semester. The idea was twofold: (1) to ask some interesting and important questions about the interconnections of libraries, librarians, and librarianship with a distributed networked environment, and (2) to learn a lot about these issues by actually designing and building something called the Internet Public Library.

Michigan eLibrary:  The Michigan eLibrary is an anywhere, anytime information gateway to selected Internet resources, full-text magazines, newspapers and electronic books. MeL is brought to you by the Library of Michigan now celebrating 175 years of providing information services to Michigan residents.

Exploratorium:  Online since 1993, the Exploratorium was one of the first science museums to build a site on the World Wide Web. Our site now contains over 12,000 Web pages exploring hundreds of different topics.

Weather Wiz Kids:  This website is designed especially for kids to allow them to learn more about the fascinating world of weather. It’s also a wonderful educational website for teachers and parents that gives them the right tools they need to explain the different types of weather to children.

EduHound:  EduHound.com is a specialized educational directory with resource links for educators, students and aprent. The site aims to seek out the best on the web so the Internet can be used as a teaching and learning tool.

Smithsonian Education:  The Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies provides leadership in education at the Smithsonian and produces a variety of programs, services, and resources for the education and museum communities. The Center studies education at the Institution and builds consensus on standards for strengthening its educational programs, publications, and websites.
