1000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
 
WHY PARTICIPATE?

Put your child on the right track for kindergarten!! Reading 1,000 books before kindergarten is a low pressure way to close the the vocabulary gap and develop the early literacy skills so crucial to success to success in school.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Keep track of the books you read with the library's easy color-the-shapes log. For each 100 books you read, take the completed log into the library and get a special sticker or bookmark along with a milestone picture!

Any child can participate as long as he or she is not yet in kindergarten.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I FINISH?

Each child completing the program will receive a Certificate of Completion and their photo (a hard copy and in our online Wall of Fame!


 

 

PASSPORT INFORMATION

The Redbank Valley Public Library makes it easy to apply for your U.S. Passport.

The library offers walk-in Passport Services.

  • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday - 10 am to 6 pm
  • Wednesday & Friday - 9 am to 3 pm
  • Saturday - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Redbank Valley Public Library has passport applications and other forms available.  To find out what to bring with you when  you apply.  You can download and print forms off the web, visit U.S. Department of  State a  https://travel.state.gov

Fees:

Adults (16 and older)

  • $110 payable to U.S. Department of State (check or money order)
  • $35 payable to The Redbank Valley Public Library. (check, cash or money order)

Children (16 years and under)

 

  • $80 payable to U.S. Department of State (check or money order)
  • $35 payable to The Redbank Valley Public Library (check, cash or money order)
