Welcome to the Owen County Public Library located in Owenton, KY. The library is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed Sunday. For more information, contact the library at 502-484-3450.

Calling all book lovers to join others for our latest Books @ Noon Book Club discussion over The Botany of Desire , by Michael Pollan on Friday, November 6th at noon. Meet new friends and talk about your favorite book.

We will be CLOSED on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009. We will reopen at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12th. Honor a veteran!

We conclude our monthly series of programs on gardening in Owen County on Thursday, November 12th at 7:00 p.m. The final months topic will be on Unusual Trees and Shrubs. Discover terrific unusual and underused landscape plants in the conclusion to our gardening program series.

Calling all teens to play Halo at the library for ages 14-25. Bring your X-box, X-box 360, game, TV, or controllers. We will link them for some great HALO action on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Refreshments provided.

Kentucky Authors, Jim Pirtle and Schirmer Riley, will be signing copies of their book, Two Pilots One Engine - Flight Around the World In A Single Engine Comanche on Monday, November 23rd from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Stop by to meet and greet these local authors and hear them tell their story.

Bring the entire family for an exciting adventure of the Free Family Movie, Up, on Tuesday, November 24th at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and all ages are welcome to attend.

Teresa and Esmee from Hazelwood Farms return just in time for the holidays to show us how to make greenery baskets for our home on Monday, November 30th at 5:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and all ages are welcome.
