A valid library card is required in order to check materials out of the library. Any Ouray County full-time or part-time resident may receive a library card upon proof of residency. Proof of residency includes a valid driver's license, printed checks, bill, or a receipt that shows applicant's current address. With such identification, patrons may apply for a card and check out library materials immediately.
By signing the application form the applicant agrees to:- be responsible for all use made of his/her card;
- return all materials by date due;
- return all materials in good condition;
- promptly pay all fines and/or other charges incurred;
- provide timely notification to the Ridgway Public Library of any changes of address.
Children who can sign their name may receive their own library card with the permission of their parent or guardian. Children under sixteen (16) years of age must have a parent's signature and proof of address to apply for a library card. A parent's signature on a child's application form constitutes his/her permission for the child to have a card and signifies a willingness to assume responsibility for all materials checked out on a child's card.
Non-resident cards may be issued to a person visiting the Ridgway area. Identification, local address, home address, and a $5.00 library card fee are required.
Ridgway Public Library accepts cards from all Colorado Library Card participants.
Patrons are responsible for all materials charged to their cards.
Library card replacement fee is $5.00
