Writing/Publishing Workshop 101
The Ruidoso Public Library brings you Writing and Publishing 101, presented by novelist, B. A. Coots. The first of three workshops, "Finding Your Voice" will be March 21st from 1 pm to 3 pm. The second, "Who is Your Reader" will be presented April 18th from 1 pm to 3 pm. The third and final "Introduction to Publishing" will be May 23rd from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Potential: The components within the media center may help the village/public to train, digitize phone, tablet, older media and create original media. Training on use of the media center components can help one gain skills useful as a Journalist, Radio Host, Photographer, Archivists, Videographer, Producer, Director Foley Artist, Actor, Musician, Writer, Audio Technician and Lighting Technician.

The Body Next Door
Join the Ruidoso Public Library and the Readers Book Club in welcoming Author Gay Yellen. Gay Yellen began her working life as a stage and TV actress, then happily moved behind the camera at The American Film Institute (AFI) as Assistant to the Director of Production. After stints as the managing editor for Tennis Illustrated (a national magazine now sadly defunct) and D Magazine (where I earned a national journalism award), I was the contributing book editor for Five Minutes to Midnight (Delacorte Press), an international thriller. Gay will be here to talk about her most recent book The Body Next Door on Wednesday, April 26th at 1 pm.

You will also learn about the assistance and resources available to you at the local Small Business Development Center.
