Sign-up Summer Reading Program: Catch the Reading Bug at the Salem Public Library is the theme for the younger patrons' summer program. The sign up date is May 17, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sign-ups will also be accepted anytime after April 1, 2008 during regular business hours. Be sure to sign up in advance for the "buggin'" fun. There will be stories, games, prizes, nature fun, guest speakers, snacks, arts & crafts, and more. The Summer Reading Program will be held on Thursdays starting June 12, 2008. Ages 5 - 8 will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Ages 9 -11 will meet from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Teen Program - Metamorphosis at the Library, for ages 12 - 17, will meet for reading fun and pizza from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Catch the Reading Bug/Metamorphosis is sponsored in part by a grant from the Missouri Institute of Museum and Library Services.
