Callie

Hi, my name is Callie Vaden! I am the Young Adult’s Librarian and have worked at Stokes Brown Public Library since April of 2017. I handle acquisitions for the Young Adult collection; volunteering for ages 13-19; and all other programming aimed at students in 6th through 12th grade. I can also be found assisting with 2nd - 5th grade Homeschool Hour, and helping plan our new Murder Mystery nights!

My favorite genres to read are sci-fi, fantasy, and romance; but I am also a big reader of political, historical, and religious nonfiction. Professionally, I love being able to express my artistic and creative nature in after-school programming; and assisting with designing graphics or flyers for library events.

I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and I hope to continue my education in the future with an MILS degree. I am a big fan of authors Travis Baldtree (Legends & Lattes, Bookshops & Bonedust) and Olivia Dade (Spoiler Alert, ZomRomCom); and I love anime, manga, graphic novels, early 2000s pop-punk music, and iced coffee.
