The number of items that can be checked out varies depending on whether the patron is an adult or a juvenile, and what type of material it is.
JUVENILE PATRONS
Juvenile patrons (those 8th grade and under) can check out a maximum of 10 books. The limits on other material types that juvenile patrons can check out are as follows:
10 books
5 periodicals
5 cassette tapes (includes books on tape)
2 videos or DVDs or combination of both
3 CDs
2 puzzles
ADULT PATRONS
Adult patrons (high school and older) have no limits on the number of books they can check out, but other material limits are as follows:
5 periodicals plus 5 miscellaneous periodicals
5 pamphlets (i.e. Cliff's Notes)
10 books on tape
3 books on CD
2 videos or DVDs or combination of both
3 CDs
2 puzzles
CHECK OUT TIMES
New books: 14 days/no renewal
General books: 14 days/1 renewal
Periodicals: 1 week/no renewal
Pamphlets: 1 week/no renewal
Books on Tape/CD: 2 weeks/no renewal
Videos/DVDs: 14 days/no renewal
CDs: 2 weeks/no renewal
Cassettes: 2 weeks/no renewal
Puzzles: 2 weeks/no renewal
*Current periodicals, reference materials, games: Do not circulate
*Up to one week may be added to check out time for people going on vacation. This does not include books that are on hold by someone else, 14 day books, magazines or videos..
