Interlibrary Loan

Upon patron request, the interlibrary loan staff will attempt to borrow materials not in the Adair County Public Library's collection.

ADAIR COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY INTERLIBRARY LOAN POLICY:
The Adair County Public Library will do a computer search for the request on OCLC, a national computer network. The OCLC search will be a $3 non-refundable charge and will also cover return postage. If microfilm (or other material) requires insurance on the return this will be an additional fee.

Shown is an example of the interlibrary form a patron will fill out when requesting an item the ACPL does not have in our collection.

The Adair County Public Library will do a computer search for the request on the national computer network, OCLC. The borrower will be charged $3.00 for each request. This fee is non-refundable and also covers shipping and handling. The borrower will be responsible for any additional charges that may apply as charged by the lending library (i.e. insurance for microfilm or other items). Overdue fees for interlibrary loans also apply and most loan items are not renewable. The borrower will be responsible for any damages incurred while checked out.
