The Alexandria-Monroe Public Library has been serving the community of Alexandria and Monroe Township for over 100 years. We offer many programs and services that appeal to people of all ages. These include the latest book titles, print and electronic reference materials, videos, DVDs, audio books, newspapers, magazines, computer classes, a HomeBound book delivery service, a monthly adult book discussion group, children’s story time, reading programs for all ages, a public meeting room, a local history collection, as well as a wide variety of other programs and outreach services for all ages including teens and seniors.
The library also has a variety of equipment available for public use including a photocopier, computers, printers with color capability, a typewriter, and a microfilm reader- printer. Library computers are equipped with high speed internet connections and are loaded with the latest Microsoft products. The library also provides a laminating service for the public at a nominal fee.
The library offers reciprocal borrowing with the North Madison County Public Library System and the Pendleton Community Library. Patrons can access materials from libraries across the country by taking advantage of our interlibrary loan service.
