We Offer Many FREE services at the Public Library:

Storytimes for children - see the calendar for program dates and times.

Adult book discussion group meets the third Tuesday of every month at 1:00.

Information about the Kentucky Talking Book Library. This service supplies books on tape, along with the machine to play them, to people who cannot read a printed book because of blindness or another physical disability. Basic Internet instruction including setting up e-mail accounts and reference and searching techniques.

Public computers with Internet access, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Access to Kentucky Commonwealth Virtual Library and Virtual University. These databases have "virtually" anything you might be looking for in the reference or education areas.

Fiction and nonfiction collections for adults and children.

Discovery Kits: These kits for children are theme based with books, visual aids, sometimes movies and stuffed animals and are educational as well as fun. There is a limit of one kit per adult card at a time. The checkout time on these kits are 7 days and there is a $2:00 fine for each day they are overdue.

Three day video checkout on adult library card. Limit 3 videos per card. Can be renewed one time.
A $1.00 fine per movie, per day will be charged for overdue videos and DVD's. They must be turned in or renewed before closing time on the day they are due to avoid late fees.
We also carry music cds. Three cds can be
checked out per card and the check out period is for 2 weeks.

Free notary public service.

Free Interlibrary loan service. We will borrow books for you from other libraries at no cost as long as you pick them up when they arrive. If we borrow materials for you and you fail to pick them up, a $2:00 fee will be placed on your account for each item.

Some of the services that require a fee are:
Faxes - $1.00 per page to send and .25 per page to receive.

Printing from public access computers .10 cents per page. Floppy disks for use in library only - $1.00 each.
Discs from outside the library are not allowed in our computers due to virus threat, but we have public computers downstairs you can use for that purpose.
We also offer wireless connection for your laptop.
