How much does it cost to get a library card?
We issue library cards to anyone (age 16 and older) with a valid picture identification and proof of address at no charge. Patrons under the age of 16 are required to have a parent or guardian with a valid library card present when we issue the card and the parent's name will be noted on the child's record as the person responsible for materials checked out on that card.
How long is the check-out period?
For most materials the loan period is two weeks. For movies, the check-out is 3 days, Documentaries and Biographies on dvd or video check out for 7 days.
How much does it cost to borrow movies?
Checking out movies is free within the loan period. If they should become overdue, there is a $1.00 per day fee on each video.
Can any patron check out movies?
Any patron over the age of 18 can check out three videos at a time on a valid library card.
What are the fines for overdue books?
We do not charge fines for overdue books, but we do charge a $1.00 per day fine for each movie that becomes overdue.
Is there a fee for using the internet?
The use of computers at the library is free for everything except printing. We charge .10 cents a page for the use of a printer.
Does it cost anything to have the bookmobile come to my house?
Bookmobile service is free for those who cannot get to the library. For other questions about bookmobile service, call the library.
