The Buena Vista Public Library is pleased to accept donations of books and other materials. We carefully sort through all donations and choose items to be added to our collection. When choosing these items, we consider the age, condition and subject of the item, as well as the current content and local reading interests. Items not added to the Library collection may be placed in the Library book sales, or disposed of by the Director. The Library does not evaluate or appraise gift materials for tax purposes.

If you would like to donate an item only if it will be added to the collection, please contact the Director, Gail Nottingham before gifting the item.

We are unable to accept Reader’s Digest Condensed books, National Geographic magazines, or books that are moldy, dirty, broken or missing portions.
