To Do for Parents


~ Smile and talk during routines and pause to give baby a turn ~
~ Imitate baby's vocalizations ~
~ Include baby in mealtimes, situate where can watch and hear conversation ~
~ Sing songs or recite poems while rocking, riding, etc. ~
~ Listen to music, bells, music boxes, ticking rattles, etc. ~
~ Give baby toys that make various sounds ~
~ Include sturdy board books among playthings ~
