More Information about Magazine Articles: InfoTrac is a collection of web-based databases that index many popular magazines and newspapers as well as many scholarly journals. Many of the articles in InfoTrac are full-text and can be printed or emailed. These databases are provided to us through the Michigan eLibrary program and include:
FirstSearch is also a collection of databases on a variety of subjects, including business, health, education, history. FirstSearch is aimed at users requiring more scholarly research from well known academic journals. Many of the databases contain full-text articles as well as citations and abstracts from scholarly publications. As part of FirstSearch, Wilson Select Plus is a excellent source of full-text articles on a variety of topics. FirstSearch is also provided to CRDL by the Michigan eLibrary. Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources to provide a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles. New England Journal of Medicine provides online access to articles appearing in the print journal and more. The New England Journal of Medicine is also available in print at the Veterans Memorial Library. More Information about Business:Reference USA allows searching by location, SIC code, yellow page heading, company name, and many other criteria. It is a perfect source for motel and restaurant information as well as marketing lists. Reference USA also includes a national phone directory so you can search individuals by name or location.

Articles come from a variety of sources including journals aimed at the medical profession. There is a complete list of magazines and journals indexed. This database is an excellent source of scholarly articles on a health related topic. However, General Reference Center Gold also contains some health information, so be sure to try your topic in both places. Gale Health and Wellness Resource Center should be used to find reference material, journal articles, newspapers, definitions, directories, and information on fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases, public and occupational health, and alcohol and drug abuse. Includes links to diet, cancer, and health assessment. This resource center also has a list of magazines and journals indexed. MEDLINE Database and CINAHL are included in the FirstSearch Databases. These databases include more scholarly articles on health and medicine.
