Access to eAudiobooks

To access our NetLibrary eAudiobook collection from any Internet computer:

  1. Click on the Connect at Home button in the tab bar or on the Web Sources page.
  2. Enter your library card number as your Patron ID Number and your PIN Number (the last 4 digits of your phone number.)
  3. Click Submit Request.
  4. Select "eAudiobooks" listed under "Literature".
  5. Click "Create a Free Account".
  6. Fill-in the required information. Use this login whenever you want to download eAudiobooks.
  7. If you have any difficulty, please contact a Reference Librarian at 773-3242 x11 for assistance.

To download eAudiobooks to MP3 player:
  1. Make sure that http://www.netlibrary.com is listed as a "Trusted Site" in your Internet Browser (Tools>Internet Options>Security tab)
  2. Select a title to download.
  3. Click on "Download this eAudiobook".
  4. Select the quality of the audio book you want to download (CD Quality is recommended).
  5. Specify Open or Save to download the file.
  6. To transfer the eAudiobook to your portable device, open the file in Windows Media Player (version 9 or higher) and then sync with your device.

To download eAudiobooks to an iPod:
  1. Make sure that http://www.netlibrary.com is listed as a "Trusted Site" in your Internet Browser (Tools>Internet Options>Security tab)
  2. Select a title to download.
  3. Click on "Download this eAudiobook".
  4. Select the quality of the audio book you want to download (CD quality is recommended).
  5. Specify Save to the desktop when downloading the file.
  6. Open iTunes and create a folder in your Playlists for your audiobooks.
  7. In iTunes, go to File>Add File to Library.  Add the file to the audiobooks folder you created.
  8. Connect the iPod to your computer and open it in iTunes.
  9. To transfer the eAudiobook to your iPod, click on the Music tab and then put a check mark on the playlist folder you created.  Then click the Sync iPod button.
