COMPUTERS, WI-FI & PRINTING

 

Computers

  • Use a desktop computer at any of our five locations.
  • We offer Internet access and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • We also have an enhanced tech station for individuals who may need special software or need assistance
  • Don’t have a Chippewa River District Library Card? No problem. Get a card or request a computer pass.

Computers for children and teens

  • Computers in Children’s Services are reserved for children up to 6th grade and their caregivers. 
  • Computers in the Teen Scene are reserved for middle school and high school students.

 

Wi-Fi

  • All library branches offer free wireless
  • There is no password. Simply connect to the VMLPublic network.

 

Laptops

  • Adults can use a laptop for up to four hours within any of our library locations.
  • Check out requires a Chippewa River District Library card.
  • Laptops must stay within the location they are borrowed from and should never be left unattended.
  • Cardholders are responsible for loss or damages.
  • Laptops feature free Wi-Fi Internet access and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Documents must be saved to a flash drive to be printed.

 

Copying

  • Copy machines are available at all five library locations. All of our copy machines make color copies, double-sided copies and oversize copies (legal size and 11x17).

 

Printing at the library

  • Black and white and color printing is available at all library locations.

 


Scanning

You can scan documents or photos at all five library locations. There is no charge for scanning. You will need to save your scanned file to a flash drive. You may bring your own or temporarily borrow one to send your files via email.

 

Faxing

Local and long-distance faxing is available at all branch locations.

 


Prices

Copying and Printing

Black and white, 20¢ per side.
Color, 40¢ per side.

Scanning

No charge.

Faxing
