etc. Also included is a discussion of thier bringing the community together.

Tuesday June 7, 2016 6-7:30 PM

Dr. David Anderson, La Tech Professor, will ne speaking on the effect of the economy on the growth

of local and national interest in sports.

Tuesday, June 14, 2016  5-7 PM

Closing reception honoring our Claiborne Parish Olympics: Glenn Saulters and Karl Malone.

 

Also being honored will be Cheryl Ford, named to the Women's National Basketball Team representing the USA at the World 2006 World Championship games in Brazil.

The Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Celebrating Sports in American Communities is coming to Claiborne Parish Library , May 7, 2016 through June 18, 2016. Main Street Homer along with the Claiborne Parish Library will be co-hosting this event. We are looking for sports memorabilia! All types of items, all types of sports that are part of the history and community of Claiborne Parish!!!
