  • Fiction
    Looking for a little romance? A can't-put-it-down mystery? How about a good laugh? Check out our fiction section on the first floor, where you'll find all this and more, including inspirational fiction, historical fiction. Whatever you reading interests, you'll find pleasurable diversions here.

  • Non-Fiction
    Need information? Our nonfiction collection contains books on every imaginable subject: car repair, hobbies and crafts, sports, cooking, fitness and health, music, and science. From origami to couscous, you'll learn more about it here. You'll also find self-help and inspirational books in this section, as well as a large assortment of biographies. The non-fiction section is located on the second floor; near the reference books.

  • New Books
    If you like to stay abreast of the latest offerings from the publishing world, check out our New Book Section, located at the front of the library. This section houses titles received by the library in the past three months, and it's especially popular among readers of best-sellers. You'll find new non-fiction and large-print books as well as new fiction selections here.

  • Audiovisual
    One of the most popular of the library's offerings, our audiovisual collection includes thousands of audio books (also called talking books), videotapes, and compact disks (CD's). Our CD collection includes classical, blues, jazz, country, rock, and gospel selections, as well as boxed sets. The audiovisual collection is located on the first floor; next to the Circulation Desk. Browsing is encouraged!

  • Large Print
    This section - intended for the visually impaired or for those who are simply more comfortable reading large print - contains more than 3000 fiction and non-fiction titles. It's located on the first floor.

  • Young Adult
    This rapidly expanding section is designed especially for tweens and teens, who may have outgrown children's books but aren't quite ready for adult-level reading. Here they'll find books and magazines dedicated to their interests and concerns and an environment designed especially for them. The young adult section is located on the second floor.

  • Magazines
    The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library periodicals section features more than 100 publications on a variety of subjects. Located at the front of the library on the first floor, this section contains recent issues as well as some back issues.

  • Genealogy
    Interested in exploring your ancestral past? Checkout our genealogy collection. Located in the Brown Harvey Room, named for the Clarksvillian who donated a large portion of its holdings, the genealogy collection is an impressive one. Here's a small sampling: Civil War Records, Clarksville Death Index for 1908-1912; 1914-1944, census records for Montgomery and surrounding counties, indexed family group sheets, church histories, and cemetery records.
