The Children’s Department of the Colleton County Memorial Library has a variety of programming and story times which are held both weekly and seasonally. Computers are available for public use by children and include programs for entertainment and those that are educationally oriented.

A wide selection of materials is available for check-out including books, periodicals, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks.

The highlight of the Children’s Department is the annual Summer Reading Program. There are also annual poetry and illustrating contests, a poetry workshop, and a volunteer program open to teens.
