Placing a Hold in the Duncanville Library Catalog
You may now place a hold request for titles from the online catalog in the library or from home or work through the Internet. A patron who wishes to place a hold must have an active Duncanville library card.
To begin, perform a title search. Click on the blue Title/Author information. At the top of the screen, click on Hold Request Button
On the Hold Request screen, enter Patron ID Number - the 14 digit number on your library card.
Press tab and enter your pin number - last four digits on your library card.
Click on Submit Request.
The next screen will show if your hold was approved. If your request failed, check with library staff to confirm correct pin number.
When the requested item becomes available, library staff will call. The item will be held for two days following the call.
