LIBRARY CARD

A library card is free to any permanent resident of the City
of Duncanville. To obtain a card, a person must show a
valid driver’s license with a current local address or other
proof of residence such as a current utility bill.

Children under 16 applying for library cards must be accompanied by parent or guardian with acceptable identification.

The initial card for City of Duncanville residents is free of charge. A $5.00 fee is charged to replace a lost card.

NON-RESIDENT LIBRARY CARDS

Library cards are issued to other out-of-city residents for an annual fee of $35.00, valid for one year from purchase date.

LOAN PERIODS

3 weeks: Books, records, talking books, audio visual kits

1 week: 7-day books, videocassettes and magazines


BOOK DROP

All library materials may be returned in the book drop or
media drop located on the north side of the library off
Nance Street, 24 hours a day.


OVERDUE CHARGES

25˘ per day, per item: never to exceed the price of the item.

Movies & Videocassettes: $2.00 per day to a maximum of the
replacement cost.


LOST MATERIALS

Charges for lost or irreparable damaged items include
replacement cost plus $5.00 non-refundable reorder fee.


RESERVES

Patrons may place reserves on library items from the
public access computers. See Information Desk for
assistance.


INTERLIBRARY LOAN

Videos can be obtained through other collections and must
be reserved at least 10 days in advance for a fee of $3.00

Many items not available may be obtained for a fee of $3.00
per book. Study guides are unavailable through interlibrary
loan.


RENEWALS

Library materials may be renewed in person or over the phone
before date due. 972-780-5051

Overdue renewals must be brought to the library and fines
paid before renewal.


COMPUTER SERVICES

Available to library users: 17 computers with Microsoft Office programs, Win Way Resume, and Internet
