Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms may be reserved for use by educational, civic, cultural, and governmental groups when no admission charge is collected.  Exceptions may be made for meetings sponsored by the library or an approved non-profit group or institution for short-term classes, institutes, discussion groups, and forums that involve a small fee.

The rooms may not be reserved by for-profit, commercial or denominational groups.  However, committees or associations affiliated with more than one church for business transactions, when no religious services are involved, will be allowed meeting room space.  Labor organization meetings will be interpreted to be commerical meetings.  Employee groups of commercial firms wil be interpreted as educational groups provided management is not using the meeting room as a sales or promotional meeting.

Profit-making organizations sponsoring an educational program of a non-profit nature will be permitted to use the meeting room provided the meetings are open and free to the general public.

In fairness to the numerous groups in the community, the library will not accept reservations for a series of meetings which would designate the library as the regular meeting place for any organization.

The library will not provide personnel to assist in handling of exhibitis and other materials needed by groups using the meeting room.

Food and beverages may be permitted but are limited to light snacks or boxed lunches.  Kitchen appliances, such as coffee pots and hot plates, or other heating devices, are not allowed to be used in the meeting rooms.

Meeting rooms are available during regular library hours.  Director approval is required for use outside of regular library hours.

Meeting rooms are available at the Beulaville and Rose Hill Branch Libraries.  To make a room request, contact the branch directly.                   Beulaville Branch: 910-298-4677 ~~  Rose Hill Branch: 910-289-2490
