Friends of the Library
- The Friends of the
Eckhart Public Library, Inc. in Auburn, Indiana is a non-profit organization whose
enthusiastic support makes many special library programs possible. The Annual Book Sale is
dedicated to making significant contributions to the steady growth of the library and its
services to the community. Friends help promote the library by sponsoring activities which
encourage reading and broaden the user base of the library.

Why you should be a friend:
- You will help library services continue and expand through
your contributions of time and money.
- You will receive The Bookmark, the library's
monthly newsletter, which will keep you informed on the latest library news and events.
- You will be invited to a special preview for the Friends
Annual Book Sale.
- You will have voting privileges at the Annual Friends
Meeting.
- Your annual membership dues and gifts are tax deductible.
Get involved:
- Attend theater or museum trips
- Become a Friends volunteer
- Sort books for Book Sale (monthly or as needed)
- Work at the Book Sale
- Serve on the Annual Meeting Committee
- Assist with publicity
- Serve on the Friends Board
Membership:
Is valid for a one year period from April to April. However, one
may become a Friend anytime during the year.
