Children at the library have a special room all for themselves - complete with lions and tigers, lizards and colorful furniture just their size, oh, my. Books spanning the broad spectrum of subjects and all styles of fiction are on the shelves for the kids to check out. Award winners from the Caldecott and Newberry lists are included, as well as board books, picture books, and books to make a science fair project. There are also audio cassettes and videos just for the younger set. Book and cassette sets hang on racks waiting to be taken home.

PreSchool Storytime is offered every Tuesday for pre-school children. Storytime starts at 9:30am and last about 30 minutes.

In the Summer, children ages 3 and up are invited to sign up for the Summer Reading Program. The program runs from the end of May to the end of July with an Awards party being held at the end of the program for all children who complete and turn in their reading logs. Each year a different theme is chosen, with activities and crafts included as well. Stay tuned for this year theme!
