Once a patron is successfully logged in to their account, he or she can review items currently checked out, renew items for another check-out period or place holds on items currently checked out to other patrons. Patrons can also verify address and phone information. Changes to personal information can only be made by Library staff, however, so please call 882-5016 to update the record.

Review items currently checked out
The first list on the page is a list of items currently checked out to the patron, showing the title and due date. To renew an item, check the box next to the item on the left-hand side of the list, and then click on the "Renew Checked Items" box. Unless the item is on hold for another patron, a new due date should appear. If an item is on hold, a message will show in red at the top of the screen that states "One or more items cannot be renewed. Check at the Circulation Desk". Items on hold cannot be renewed and should be returned to the Library.

Items on Hold
The second list shows titles of items currently on hold for the patron. Shown are the title, the date the request was placed, the status and the patron's position on the hold list. To add a hold to the list, see below. To cancel a hold on an item no longer needed, please call 882-5016 for assistance.

Placing holds
After searching the catalog for an item, the patron may place a hold on an item that shows "Checked Out". Items with a status of "Available" may not be placed on hold. To place a hold, click on the item title and a new screen will appear. At the top there will be a button that says "Hold Request". Click on the button and a log-in box will appear. Type in the complete Patron Library card number (complete 14-digit number) and Pin (as shown in the section "Logging In") and click the "Submit Request" box. A message in blue will appear on the screen if the transaction was successful. The Library will call when the item becomes available.
