Join Naveed Abassi for the final workshop on using QuickBooks to properly account for your business.
Naveed is full-time faculty and the Director of the MBA SAP Finance program in the College of Business Administration at Maharishi University of Management. He has taught accounting information systems such as Quickbooks to accountants and non-accountants for many years. Naveed also has over 14 years of experience in the industry as an accountant, controller, business analyst, and business strategy & process improvement specialist.
Session 1: Registering and setting up your company in QuickBooks. Creating vendors/suppliers and recording the expenses e.g. rent, utilities, office expenses etc.
Session 2: Creating list of items (inventory) and recording purchasing transactions into Quickbooks. Run basic expense reports
Session 3: Creating Customers and recording Sales transactions into Quickbooks
Session 4: Sales tax, Independent contractors (1099 vendors) and review
Funding for the workshops is part of a year-long grant that the M.U.M. College of Business received from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. There is no admission fee, and advance registration is not required.
