Downloadable Audio Books are here! Download great audio book titles day or night--your library never sleeps! Listen to them on your computer or transfer them to a compatible device (Click here for a list of suggested devices). Fairfield Puiblic Library has joined a consortium of 85 other libraries in Iowa to offer downloadable audio books through OverDrive, a digital media service.
The website is referred to as WILBOR. WILBOR is managed by Central Iowa Library Service Area, Southwest Library Service Area, Southeast Library Service Area, and Northwest Iowa Library Services. Participating libraries finance the service for you--the patrons!

We offer three options. I suggest you use the first option which is a Download Digital Media Guided Tour so plug in your headphones. The second option is WILBOR Quick Start which tells you what you need to do to get your downloadable audio book. The third option is a webbased PowerPoint called Len's Quick Start Instructions which is based on the Fairfield Public Library's website and will get you going fairly quick as well as offering how to transfer to an MP3 or how to burn CDs.
