A County - Wide Book Discussion
Reyna Grande remembers a childhood spent torn between two parents and two countries. When her parents make the dangerous journey across the Mexican border into the United States, she and her brother and sister are left behind with their grandmother. Unwanted in an already over-burdened household, Reyna dreams of the day she will be reunited with her parents, especially her long - absent father.
