About Greenwood Children's Programs

The Children's Room offers many types of programs for children starting at birth and continuing though 5th Grade. We offer three different storytimes as well as, crafts, storywalks, STEAM programs. Below we have outlined our programs based on age range. Don't forget to check out our programs and events for all ages as well.
The Children's Room also offers other services and resources beyond programming to all of Greenwood County's children. Please check the main Children's Room webpage for links to resources such as Early Literacy Programs, parent and grandparent resources, digital materials, Developmental Disorders, and our YouTube Channel. Make your own buttons using our button maker machine! You can color and design your own button using our blank inserts, you can cut out from images provided by the Library, or you can bring in your own photos. If you bring your own photos:

Lego Club | Springtime Eggstravaganza | Grab and Go Crafts |
Lego Club The following Thursdays at 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM American Veterans Auditorium, Greenwood County Library, First Floor About: Spend some time having fun and creating with Legos. We will have a theme each time to help you get your creativity going! Completed projects are displayed in our front entrance for all of our community to enjoy. This event is for 2nd grade through 12 grade. Except for January, Lego Club will be held the first Thursday of the month. |

Springtime "Egg"stravaganza
Presented by the Library's Teen Volunteers The Teen Volunteers are excited to put on this event for the Children's Room. They have planned, prepped, and will be running this event with the assistance of the Young Adult Librarian and other library staff. Be prepared for an afternoon of a few fun Easter themed games, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and an Easter Egg Hunt! We will be splitting up the Egg Hunt into different age levels so all will get a chance to find an egg! Don't forget to bring a basket to hold all your eggs!
