A head chef quits his restaurant job and buys a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family. Rated R.
    Purchase tickets for $7 online or at the door.  Food may be purchased at the Alamo.

Local restaurants will describe their experiences and why they have a restaurant.  Free samples of their specialty dishes will be available.  Participants include Bonnie Blue, Nibblins, Shaffer's Food Truck, Patsy's Pastries, Carrabas, Cork Street Tavern, and Cafe Del Sol.

PATRICK EVANS-HYLTON is a trained chef and award-winning food journalist, covering food and foodways through print, radio, television, and online since 1995. He is executive editor of Virginia Wine Lover magazine and food and wine senior editor of Coastal Virginia Magazine

About the Author

Patrick Evans-Hylton is a food writer and editor and intimately involved with the local Virginian food world. He is an instructor at the Culinary Institute of Virginia and co-hosts a local NPR radio show, “What’s Cooking Wednesday” and is the food reporter for “The Hamptons Roads Show” on the local Fox TV affiliate.

Patrick is a media awards judge for the prestigious James Beard Awards and awards from the International Association of Culinary Professionals. He lives in Virginia.
