How do I...

Get a library card?

At the Circulation Desk, fill out an application card completely. You will need to show ID, proof of your current Sumner County address and provide a second contact phone number. Children should have a parent or legal guardian with them to get a library card. Youth may use their own ID and proof of address or have a parent or legal guardian with these needed forms.
Children's Card: 0-13

Sign up for the Internet?

You must have a library card in good standing. The Internet policy is on the screen of each computer and you must "agree" to the policy before using the computer. Visitors may use the Internet by signing the register with their name and driver's license number.

On your first visit to the library, you may check out one item with your new card. After your first visit, you may check out 5 books, 2 videos, 5 audio books, 5 magazines and 3 children's books on tape on the adult card. A child or youth may check out 5 books. Children, juveniles, or youth may not check out videos, most audio books, CD's, books on tape or most magazines. Youth may check out audio books and magazines from the Young Adult section only .

You may reserve a book, if it is checked out, or request a book from another library - Interlibrary Loan (ILL). See library staff for more information.

Make a donation?

The library accepts donations of books that are in good condition and less than 10 years old. We are unable to accept textbooks or encyclopedias. Items that are not placed on the shelves for circulation may be placed in the book sale. Please call the library for the best time to bring donations.
