Heritage Public Library serves the citizens of Charles City and New Kent. Library patrons from both counties are free to use whichever branch is more convenient or accessible to them. Your library card works at both branches.
We now have online services available for our patrons from this website. Patrons can renew and reserve books, search our catalog, and check the status of their accounts.

Mission Statement
The mission of Heritage Library is to provide library materials and services to help the citizens of Charles City and New Kent counties meet their educational, informational and recreational needs. More specifically, the Library should promote the enjoyment and necessity of reading, the discovery of knowledge and culture in all their forms, and the advantages and pleasures of life-long learning. Special emphasis is placed on stimulating children's interest in and appreciation of reading and learning.
