Membership Criteria
Criteria for Obtaining a Patron Card
at Lansdale Borough Public Library
You
will receive a free membership if:
All Lansdale Borough residents are eligible for a patron
card. Residents must show a photo ID and documents to
prove that they live in the borough. The documents may
include: electric bill, driver's license, renters or home
owners lease and as a last resort, any letter or bill with the
resident's name and address.
You
will have to pay a $35 membership fee if:
Non-residents must pay an annual $35 membership fee to obtain a
patron card because their township does not financially support
the Lansdale Public Library. The library is funded by the
Borough of Lansdale and does not participate in state
funding. Lansdale residents pay $35 annually in municipal
taxes that directly support the library.
Non-residents, who do not wish to pay to join the Lansdale
Public Library, may join MCLINC for free. Many libraries in
Montgomery County participate in the MCLINC program,
including: Wissahickon (Blue Bell, Ambler), Indian Valley
(Telford) and Norristown. MCLINC provides bookmobile service to many places in
the townships surrounding Lansdale.
Non-residents can get a Mclinc patron card by filling out
the Mclinc form and sending it to Norristown Public
Library.
Membership refunds will not be granted.
