Liberty Lake Municipal Library is the realization of a dream of the Friends of the Library Community Group which formed shortly after the 2001 incorporation of the City of Liberty Lake, Washington. Started in a basement, the Friends obtained donated space from the Greenstone Corporation in its Liberty Square Building Headquarters. Friends and dedicated volunteers collected books and organized a community library that opened in 2002. In 2003, the Friends deeded the library to the City at which time it became a Municipal Library and a department of the City of Liberty Lake.
Liberty Lake Municipal Library's mission is to enrich and advance the intellectual, cultural and creative vitality of our extended community by establishing and maintaining avenues to information resources that support these interests, delivering personal service in a fast, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
The Library is located behind the Albertson's Plaza at 1421 N. Meadowwood Lane (The Liberty Square Building) in Suites 130 and 140.
