The goal of the IC More Shared Catalog is to increase the opportunities for all residents of the community, including the under-served, to access and borrow materials including fiction, nonfiction, bestsellers, news items, popular trends, and general information in a variety of formats. We achieve this goal by sharing a common database of bibliographic records but still have individual websites to best meet the needs of our users. By sharing this database we maximize resources not only in lending and borrowing materials but in staff time in maintaining the database.
