Story Hour

 

Story Hour is on Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. This is a free program.
Preschool Story Hour will provide an introduction to picture books and stories and create a group situation for children to learn self-discipline, cooperation, and independence. As soon as your child is able to sit still and listen for a short period of time, he/she is ready for Story Hour.  Activities will also include songs, finger plays, movies, games, and crafts.

 

Story Hour Registration will start the week of August 21st.
The first Story Hour will be on Wednesday, August 30th.

Read and Rhyme Baby Story Time

Read & Rhyme Baby Story Time

 

Read & Rhyme Baby Story Time is a story time for the 6 – 18-month-old child and his/her parent or caregiver. This is a free program. Story Time is on Tuesdays from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. The first 30 minutes will consist of action rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and stories being read. After, children will be allowed to play and socialize with each other.

 

Registration for Read & Rhyme Baby Story Time will be September 25th.

 

The first Read & Rhyme Baby Story Time will be Tuesday, October 10th at 10:00.  For more information call the library at 270-432-4981.

Library Closings

The library will be closed Tuesday, December 19th for Staff Training; Saturday, December 23rd, Monday, December 25th, and Tuesday, December 26th for Christmas; Monday, January 1st for New Years.

Yoga with Peggy

Join us for Yoga at Metcalfe County Public Library every Tuesday at 4:30. 

The class is taught by Registered Yoga Instructor Peggy Burcham (RYI).  No prior Yoga experience is necessary!


Yoga engages the mind, body and spirit and is a healthy way to release stress.  If you've never done yoga before, give it a try and see what it can do for you!
