One of the ways the Overton County Library obtains new children’s books is by donations from the public and other area organizations. If the library already has a copy of the book donated, we keep the newest copy and then pass on the extras to one of Overton County’s public schools for a library or classroom copy. Thanks for all the donations

The Livingston Police Department returned 14 DVD’s that were stolen from the Millard Oakley Public Library. The movie collection at the library is used continuously by our patrons at no cost. Thanks to our hard working area law enforcement!

Overton County Friends of the Library
Whether you just need reading glasses or have a more serious visual imparment, many people enjoy reading larger print books. Nancy Camp, vice-president of the Overton Co. Friends of the Library is seen here with Library Director, Cynthia Carmack and the 40 new books they purchased to donate to the library.

Great Books for the Library's Collection!
The Library would like to thank Food Lion of Livingston for donating 68 books to the Millard Oakley / Overton County Library. This type of community support will allow our county’s library to meet the needs of all our patrons.
