Meet Emily Tufte, our library director.

Welcome to the Northwood Public Library! I became the director at the Northwood Public Library in May 2022. I'm a Northwood-Kensett 2004 graduate and I have a two-year AAS degree as a Medical Administrative Assistant through Riverland Community College of Albert Lea, MN. I previously worked for the Worth County Public Health Department and then decided to stay home with my children for the past nine years. I have lived in Northwood my whole life except for about 18 months where I went to college in Albert Lea. My husband Matt and I are high school sweethearts and got married in 2006. We have been blessed with 4 boys: Carson, Brady, Jaxon, and Ryan, plus two dogs and a cat who take up the majority of my time. If I'm not at home, I'm at the library or a ball field of some kind. I look forward to seeing you at the library soon, and I welcome your input!
