Borrowing Materials
Here are the most important circulation policies. A complete list may be obtained at the service desk at any branch. You MUST have your library card to check out materials, request materials, or use the internet. Items may be returned to any location, not necessarily the location from which items were borrowed.
Loan periods are as follows:
3 Day Loans - Videocassettes and DVDs
14 Day Loans - New Fictions titles, Magazines (except for the most current issue which cannot be checked out), New Non-Fictions titles that currently have a currently have a waiting list.
28 Day Loans - Most other books, audiocassettes and CDs.
1 Day Loans - Audiovisual Equipment
3 Day Loans - Videocassettes and DVDs

Circulating items may be renewed in person, by phone, or via the website. When renewing by phone patrons must have their library card ID number ready to give. No materials may be renewed on which a reserve or request has been placed.
In order to provide all locations with a good selection, patrons may only check out 10 magazines, 5 CDs\audiocassettes, and 3 videotapes\DVDs at a time. NOTE: Borrowers of videocassettes and DVDs must be at least 15 years of age.
Patrons may become delinquent and prevented from borrowing anything for several reasons, the most common is for having fines of $5.00 or higher. Patrons may not borrow items until the delinquency is resolved.
