Holdings include family histories, historical maps, cemetery listings and indexes, biographies of noted South Carolinians, and the local newspapers on microfilm. As the majority of the collection is of a unique nature, we regret that nothing can be circulated or loaned to another library. Because the Oconee County Library lacks sufficient staff to do research, letters from persons requesting such services will be denied. Names and addresses of persons in the area who do research for a fee will be provided when such a person is known, However, staff will do limited searching when good information is provided.
