Quechee Watercolor Orders

Matted prints are available for purchase. At the Friends annual meeting in May, watercolor artist Susan Pecora offered a watercolor painting demonstration and then presented a beautiful watercolor of Quechee Main Street to the library. Made possible by a gift from Gladys Sullivan, the painting is on display at the library. Matted prints are on sale for $150. Framed prints are available for $195. Ms. Pecora has taught at the Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield, Massachusetts, and instructed a television audience on “Reflections Through Watercolor” on the western New England PBS affiliate.

Booksale

For over 20 years a booksale held in conjunction with the Quechee Balloon Festival has provided support for the library. Each year it is held over Father’s Day weekend as an important fundraiser. Donations of books and volunteers are essential. A minimized booksale is ongoing throughout the year and put on full display again during fall foliage season. Also, books are now sold on line. The library benefits immeasurably from not only the funds but the books that are previewed as they come and often added to the collection. Co-chairs of the booksale are Terry Harms, Valerie Groeneveld, Ann DeLoach and Heather Craig. This year's Balloon Festival booksale opens at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 19.
