Curbside Pickup 2020

Starting June 1, a curbside holds pickup service will be offered for existing holds. This service will be available only to library cardholders who have been notified that their materials are ready for pickup. Once notified, your materials will be available for pickup Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 4pm by appointment only.

If you need assistance with placing an online hold or cannot place a hold due to the fact of no internet, please feel free to call the Main library branch at 864-445-4500 ext. 2264 from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

Curbside holds pickup and other library services may be modified based on the Library System’s ability to provide them in a socially distanced manner and as resources needed to help limit the spread of COVID-19 can be obtained.

Saluda County Public Library cardholders can access free, unlimited high-speed internet from almost anywhere through our Wi-Fi hotspot lending program.

Portable hotspots allow library cardholders who do not have home internet access to easily get online from almost anywhere using a Wi-Fi-enabled device such as a phone, tablet or laptop. Hotspots are available to check out from the Saluda County Public Library, just like a book or DVD.

Hotspot Guidelines:
• Kajeet portable hotspots have Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service
• Hotspots must be returned to a staff person inside the Saluda County Library. (Do not return a hotspot via drop box or you will be fined).
• The loan period for hotspots is 7 days.
• Hotspots can only be checked to patrons 18 years or older.
• There is a limit of one hotspot per account
• The daily overdue fine for a hotspot is $1.00 per day.
• The replacement fees for lost or damaged hotspots are as follows:

  • Hotspot Device — $25.00 each
  • Hotspot Case — $10.00 each
  • Power Cord — $10.00 each

• Hotspots that are greater than 3 days overdue will be disabled remotely.
• Up to 10 devices can be connected to a hotspot at the same time.
• Simple instructions and tech support contact information is included with each hotspot.
